Chapter 9: The K-Tour

While there was a healthy dosage of drama occurring in the main room, Emkay and Annie were taking Thiamine on a tour of the K-team base.
They left the main room and headed through the door at the very end of the corridor which led to another corridor, this time, with a dark orange lino floor, and expensive looking wooden walls, with paintings lining each side. The ceiling was black, with three white neon light strips running along the length of the passage.
As they walked along, Thiamine asked who the pictures were of.
“The pictures,” Emkay said, turning around to face the new recruit “Are of former members of the K-Team.”
“What, did they leave or something?”
“You don’t leave the K-Team,” Emkay replied darkly “Or, at least not with your life.” He and Annie proceeded on down the corridor, Thiamine hesitated before following contemplating what had been said. She studied the pictures carefully as she ambled along, looking at the details of the now deceased. The frames were all fairly simple, each with a number at the bottom, presumably there to show which members had died first. There were a total of twelve portraits, and there was plenty of wall space left. Thiamine made a mental note to find out more about these people sometime as she caught up with Emkay and Annie at the corridor. Annie forced open the misfit door to reveal a square room, seemingly made entirely out of yellow bricks.
“This is the blue brick room, which connects all the living areas together.” Annie stated
“Why’s it, uh…” Thiamine started
“Called the blue brick room?” Annie interrupted, finishing the question “Well, Reshter named it.”
“Why… did you let him name it?”
“Well,” Emkay explained “Along with myself, and three who are no longer with us, Reshter was one of the founding members of the K-Team. This room was finished on his birthday, so naturally he got to name it. Anyway, on your left is the sleeping area, with complimentary mint on pillow. Straight on is the game room, with things such as a snooker table, a one arm bandit and the like. And to your right is the kitchen, from with you can access the bathroom.
“Annie will show you around the rest of the rooms, I’ll be getting back to the main room as I think I heard a door slam. I hope Reshter isn’t on one of his spitting attacks…”
And with that Emkay headed off.
Annie quickly showed Thiamine the bedroom and the kitchen, saying things such as a bad would be sorted out later.
Then, heading into the game room Annie asked
“Hey, do you want a game of extreme snooker?”
“Uh… what does that involve?”
“It involves playing snooker… but the balls’ colours are inverted” Annie replied with a dark grin.
Thiamine nodded nervously.
“Then…” Annie whispered menacingly “Get ready… for the most extreme snooker experience, you’ll ever have!”

Discuss. Or not. Whatever.
